Awesome Lyrics IV ( Fun.)

I swear when I grow up I won’t just buy you a rose
I will buy the flower shop, and you will never be lonely
For even if the sun stops waking up over the fields
I will not leave, I will not leave ’til it’s our time
So just take my hand, you know that I will never leave your side.

– Fun.’s “The Gambler”

Fun is one of my favourite bands, and “The Gambler” is one of their best songs. Listen to it here.

Awesome Lyrics (Kingston Trio)

Some people say I’m a ‘No count’
Others say I’m no good
But I’m just a natural born travelin’ man
Doin’ what I think I should, oh yeah
Doin’ what I think I should.

– From Kingston Trio’s Greenback dollar.

50’s was awesome time for the music lovers who like to listen to vocal music. Kingston Trio is an epic band from that Good Old “Feel Good” Era.

What I did this month? (January 2015)

Angular JS Impressions

I did a lot Angular JS stuff last month. Wrote some simple toy websites, then I tried to make front-ends with some publicly available, e.g Reddit API, IMDB API etc. Most of them are still Incomplete projects which I’ll try to complete this month. But the one in which I’m more interested in is making more responsive Reddit Reader for the Web. I haven’t started working on this, and I know there are a lot of great front-ends available for Reddit, But I’ll do it anyway.

Angular is just great for the front-end. But there are lots of things that I still don’t understand. I still don’t know how to upload files from Angular front end(Basic, huh?). I don’t know exactly how to make the load order better. And I’ll figure out these things this month may be.

I did Shaping Up With Angular.js from CodeSchool. And Saw some videos of Egghead.io. Both of them are truly great resources and I’ll recommend them to anyone who is starting Angular.

Getting Interested in Meteor.js

As it turns out, Meteor.js is Truly, the most productive Full Stack Web Framework out there. Just follow some simple instructions on thier official tutorial, Take one or two courses from tutsplus and you’re good to go. I have been catching up fast with Meteor.js, but I’m still rough on edges. I’ll see where I get to reach in a month.

Meetups And Hackathons.

In my first month in Bangalore, I attend some cool meetups and got very interested in doing a lot more Javascript. Last Month, I didn’t attend a whole lot of meetups, but on the brighter side, I attended some hackathons. I didn’t complete anyone of them. What I found out from my experience in Hackathons is that, I am very volatile and I get easily distrated by cool stuff. I plan to attend some more hackathons if possible.

Blog Like An Hacker

Finally, I bundled up enough courage to make my github page and make it the Jekyll way. I am using the So-Simple theme, if you didn’t notice.

This Month (Febraury)

This month I want to make some projects based on the Stuff I am learning from Udacity and EdX. This month I’m learning:

  1. Responsive Web Design Fundamentals
  2. Building Mobile Experiences
  3. Developing Andriod Apps

Thanks.
